Job Description

Operations Supervisor (Registration) will support the whole of the UK & IE Delivery Organisation in ensuring execution and compliance of vehicle registrations and taxing. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and administration of new vehicle deliveries as well as Tesla Fleet.

The ideal candidate has excellent time management skills, prioritizes accuracy whilst delivering high volumes, and can inspire the team to have a positive mental attitude to enable vehicle deliveries behind the scenes. They have experience with jobs/tasks that require a high degree of compliance and ideally have a good understanding of the legalities of vehicle ownership and use on UK roads.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare employee’s schedules in accordance with workflow; Co-ordinate appropriate coverage depending on the volumes and business requirements
  • Contribute to the expansion of the team; working with the Delivery Operations Leader to analyze resource requirements and interviewing candidates who possess the skills necessary to help achieve company goals
  • Work cross-functionally to recommend and drive necessary process and system improvements to facilitate smooth customer transitions from pre-delivery to delivery day to post-delivery
  • Promote proper communication channels for escalation management and reporting on such occurrences to the Delivery Operations Leader
  • Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company
  • Inspiring strong performance and quality of work to ensure that regional KPIs are achieved
  • Coach and mentor Operations Specialists and support them with their training needs
  • Create and support the execution of goal-oriented development plans for low performers
  • Manage relationships with external partners and data providers with the aim of maintaining and improving our mutual operations
  • Collaborate with central teams at Tesla and provide regular feedback on system requirements to enable scalability of the Registration Operations and the wider UK & IE business

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven supervisory or management experience within operations, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead by example, with the ability to coach and mentor team members effectively
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers  
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment and achieve common goals 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and strong ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Digitally savvy – ability to adopt and adapt quickly to new technology and systems
  • Have the required language skills if required by our local markets 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Willing to work a shift pattern including weekends (during busy periods)
  • Must have 2 years plus driving license and continue to maintain a valid driving license and safe driving record
