We are looking for a senior researcher to work closely with our LATAM Partnerships and Regional Growth teams, based in Mexico City, to help us unlock further growth in the LATAM region.

The Partnerships & Regional Growth teams seek to open the next frontier of Netflix by acquiring and retaining new audiences through strategic innovations.

You will be part of a global team of researchers based all over the world, and will also partner closely with the LATAM research team in Mexico to identify priorities and bring a comprehensive view of the LATAM consumer to our global teams. 

The scope of this role is broad with tremendous opportunities for leadership and impact, covering multiple countries in the LATAM region with highly strategic business and product innovation questions. This is a senior individual contributor role, and we’re looking for a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the field.

Types of projects you will lead: You will lead research throughout all the product and business development cycles, starting from identifying and sizing opportunities for product and business innovation to survey development, choice-based modeling, and post-launch evaluation.

You will be a thought leader in helping to drive the Partnership & Growth strategy in the region and will represent the voice of the LATAM consumer globally. 

About you:

  • You design and execute end-to-end mixed methods research studies leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. 
  • You effectively translate findings into strategic business recommendations and communicate these to the right cross-functional colleagues, in the right ways, and at the right time to inform their decision-making. Experience presenting/socializing insights at all levels of an organization all the way to the CEO is a plus. Your work will travel far and wide on Netflix!
  • You are able to partner effectively with a large number of stakeholders (including Product Management, Design, Data Science, Business Strategy, and Marketing)and product and business teams across all of the LATAM region, to identify high-priority research needs and develop research roadmaps that maximize insights impact. At the same time, you are skilled at anticipating research needs, identifying consumer/industry trends and opportunities, and research gaps.
  • Previous experience working in the Partnerships, Growth, Commerce, and/or Payments areas is preferred but not required, as well as previous experience working with research vendors in the LATAM region. The Partnerships & Regional Growth area is complex and broad. Acquiring domain expertise, and being curious about the business and state of the industry is a must to be successful as a thought leader in the space.
  • You understand the business, product, and consumer landscape in LATAM, and are able to bring a unique perspective based on your expert understanding of the region, as well as connect dots and be a liaison between regionally-focused, and globally-focused Growth initiatives while representing the LATAM consumer needs and voice. Occasional travel (COVID permitting) and work across time zones are required for this role.
  • You are fluent in English and Spanish. Fluency in Portuguese would be a plus, but not a requirement.
