Job Description

Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for an accomplished Senior Business Desk Manager, Enterprise Transformation (ET) in the AWS Partner Organization to support and execute strategic programs with key members of the rapidly growing Enterprise Transformation team.

As a Sr Bus Desk Manager within AWS, you will work with the Enterprise Transformation Business Development team to collaboratively win opportunities by providing high-level AWS cloud solutions, blueprints

And technical write-ups, work with the Partner Solution Architects on more sophisticated technical/architectural aspects of the solution, and address business commercials through investments, discounts, and other resources to win IT Outsourcing related opportunities.

You will deep dive and write specific pieces of the proposal, defend as applicable and be able to develop TCO analyses and pricing for the purposes of inserting summaries and results into proposals.


  • Anchor medium to large size, proactive and reactive bids / RFPs.
  • Drive solution strategy & create win themes mapped to customer business requirements (in collaboration with partner teams).
  • Execute the proposal response plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Solution Architects, Partner Development Managers, Field Sales, etc.).
  • Interact with Global bid teams to understand Amazon’s global practices and policies for optimizing deal commercials.
  • Prepare winning proposals that meet client business needs with attractive value propositions and TCO analyses.
  • Develop win themes, technical discriminators, and innovative pricing strategies.
  • Contribute to RFP response requirements, ensure proposal compliance, and act as the primary interface for RFx response efforts.
  • Provide input to a library of approved proposal content for quick-turnaround opportunities.
  • Be a thought leader in preparing/developing proposal responses, win themes, technical discriminators, pricing, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or relevant business experience.
  • 10+ years plus experience in world-class technology companies in the business of the sale of software, hardware, and/or professional services.
  • Experience in pre-sales and cloud bid management.
  • Proven ability to initiate action, manage change, make high-impact decisions, and complete challenging assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and exhibit a high level of enthusiasm, common sense, initiative, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Ability to exercise authority appropriately and effectively.
  • Working experience and knowledge of cloud landscape.
  • Strong business sense paired with deep technical knowledge, and capable of understanding the complexities of IT environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, including sales, marketing, business development, and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Experience working with/for Systems Integrators or ISVs and knowing the market landscape.
  • Experience leading data-driven analyses and influencing results.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a multi-geo organization.
  • Working experience and knowledge of the IT Outsourcing landscape.
  • Understanding of AWS product line, customer on-premise IT infrastructure, and experience in building business cases that quantify industry-specific benefits highly desired.
  • Experience with data center migration and IT refresh analysis is highly desired.
  • Previous sales or presales experience.
