The opportunity

As a project manager in EY’s growing Project and Programme delivery capability, you will work alongside a team of skilled delivery professionals to drive the delivery of large-scale transformational work for some of New Zealand’s biggest companies.
 
As an EY project manager, you will manage a broad range of interesting and exciting projects to drive the technology agenda of our clients forward, interfacing with EY team members, clients, and senior stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities for Visa Sponsorship Jobs in Auckland, New Zealand:

Project Planning

  • Manage all project activities, including resourcing, objectives, scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and functional and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Project Co-ordinators to obtain necessary project resources including personnel and support infrastructure

Project Management

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and application build projects from scoping through to delivery
  • Track project progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, meeting business requirements and in compliance with project management methodologies and standards
  • Perform regular project reporting including reporting on schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, team, stakeholders, and benefits
  • Adopt and adhere to the customer’s project and program management methodologies across all infrastructure and application projects
  • Monitor and control resources, and operational and capital costs against the project budget and ensure projects are delivered within the timeframes defined.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage expectations of all project stakeholders, including any project-related vendors, third-party resources, or delivery managers.

Team Management

  • Ensure all supporting project team members (internal/external) have the pre-requisite skills to perform the roles required

Risk Management

  • Assessing, managing, reporting, and monitoring risks according to the customer’s IT risk management framework.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Excellent project management skills including budget, benefit, schedule, and team management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated customer focus by evaluating decisions from the customer’s perspective; building strong customer relationships and partnering well to help fulfill their needs
  • 6+ years experience in a project management function
