Jobs In Canada For Foreigners With Visa Sponsorship 2022-2023, The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing and directing daily quality activities, implementing and maintaining the site’s quality process for receiving inspection, calibration, and control of non-conforming material and quality notifications.

The successful candidate must be self-directed with the ability to work collaboratively to complete projects and assignments and solve technical issues and customer complaints.

Role

  • Be a hands-on leader and influencer, promoting a quality culture where every employee is responsible and empowered to correct and prevent non-conformances.
  • Planned, develop, implement, and maintain the site quality processes for receiving inspection, calibration, control of non-conforming material, and quality notifications including the supervision of inspectors and technicians engaged in these activities.
  • Provide input to site engineering teams on specifications, and inspection plans for purchased and/or manufactured components; recommend adjustments to inspection plans and levels to align inspection resources with product risks.
  • Participate in material disposition decisions to support ongoing production, designated back-up for the senior quality manager for disposition approvals.
  • Provide quality input in Validation and Qualification (V&Q) activities for a product, process, and supplier change management activity; approves V&Q plans and results.
  • Participate in change management activities such as risk assessment; acts as Change Management Control Board (CCMB) Quality lead.
  • Provide backup support to site quality engineers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (Lean and Six Sigma projects) for the site.
  • Author and/or review Standard Operating Processes, work instructions, test specifications, and other documents for accuracy.
  • Support ISO certification and customer audits as a subject matter expert, as needed.
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end plant quality from raw materials to finished products.
  • Lead complex projects, applying sound judgment in the use of statistical methods, and valuation criteria to draw empirical conclusions that will move us forward.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • BS or greater in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing with significant experience leading quality-related activities
  • Experience with applicable quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and analysis tools such as histograms, Pareto, process mapping, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving & Six Sigma methodology
  • Highly skilled in data analytics, statistical techniques, and root cause CAPA
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Six Sigma knowledge and experience, Quality Engineer certification (CQE), and Green, Brown, or Black belt certifications preferred
  • Strong mentor and coach and team builder, continually invest in people development
  • Objective, open-minded, and receptive to feedback and opposing perspectives
