Our internships last typically between 8 to 12 weeks and you’ll be working in our: Geotechnical Engineering team.
The geotechnical team is involved in projects in a variety of sectors including Rail, Highways, Water and Energy. You will assist in the delivery of foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement, and earthworks designs as well as undertaking desk studies, specifying and scoping intrusive ground investigations, producing interpretive reports and recommendations for a variety of geotechnical design solutions. Our team use innovative digital tools for producing accurate ground models and for analysis of geotechnical problems and design development.
- Accepted degrees: Bachelors/Master in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must have the permanent right to live and work in the UK.
- Studying towards a related degree.
- You will enjoy working in a team environment and have the confidence to work under pressure.
- You will be innovative & creative.
- Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity.
- Be a strategic and analytical thinker.
- Excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge appropriate for the area you are applying to
- Relevant work experience through internships would be advantageous.
- Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working).
