Principal Engineer I, SW

Job Description

This position does not have any direct or indirect reports but will act as a peer mentor to non-technical and technical colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the requirements of various professional audio software features and come up with QA specifications.
• Develop Test cases for different audio software features at the component and at the system level
• Develop, enhance and execute Test Plans on a regular basis
• Develop Automation Test scripts to test the software features
• Create reports for Test Readiness, Traceability Matrix, and Validation Delivery Report
• Create Defects Reports and Test coverage reports.
• Discuss with the development team with respect to the queries raised by the team members, in order to resolve the issues ASAP and assist in issue reproduction & capturing necessary logs.
• Flashing of the Software in the Hardware using Flashing tools,

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering/Sciences or equivalent from premier institutes Technology Enthusiast with a minimum of 8 years of overall work experience. The engineer is expected to have knowledge in the Audio domain. Engineers should be familiar with basic concepts of the Audio domain-like

• Frequency,
• Gain
• Filters(FIR, IIR)
• Crossover, compressors, mixers

The engineer is expected to have knowledge of Application Software testing.
