HR Administrator
Based in Toronto (North York), the HR Administrator will be responsible for recruiting & onboarding assistance, maintaining personnel records, updating company policies, providing employee HR support & counsel, and other ad hoc HR tasks.
Responsibilities Include The Following
The successful candidate is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Creating & posting job ads, and reviewing resumes.
- Scheduling & participating in interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- A new employee offers, paperwork, and onboarding.
- Earned time off coordination, record-keeping, and monitoring.
- Ensure company policies are up to date with federal & provincial guidelines & regulations.
- Respond to HR inquiries in a timely manner.
- Employee relations & communication.
- Promote company culture and positive employee engagement.
Key Working Relationships
This individual will report directly to the Accounting, Payroll, & Benefits Manager and work closely with the President on specific tasks. The HR Administrator will be in contact with all IDN employees.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 1-3 years of progressive HR experience in a similar capacity.
- Canadian University or College diploma in HR or a related field.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
- Understanding of recruitment tools (job ad websites, hiring agencies).
- Resume review & interviewing abilities.
- Canadian payroll experience preferred.
- Ability to securely handle confidential data & files.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Awareness of federal & provincial employee standards and updates.
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or training towards designation) would be considered an asset.
