What You’ll Do
- Provides support in functional areas of Human Resources, which may include coordination of tasks, operations under supervision, and optimizing current practices.
- Assists in the collection of internal and external information for reports and statistical research, a key element being the onboarding process and setup.
- Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Processes paperwork for the functional area according to established procedures
- Work directly with key personnel to understand project concepts, objectives, and approach
- Support and deliver a variety of HR tasks and projects
- May suggest and assist with the implementation of process improvements and best practices in order to achieve departmental efficiencies and enhance service.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Enrollment in a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience is preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve.
- Sound knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislation.
- Good judgment and reasoning skills.
- HRIS knowledge an asset (Taleo, JD Edwards, Oracle)
- Attention to detail with good analytical skills.
