Job Overview

  • Indeed Toronto $20/Hour, The receptionist is the first person that welcomes and handles inquiries from students, and staff to the public either face to face, via telephone, or by email.
  • You will be working as part of a team in ensuring that the campuses run smoothly, from making sure that the classes or meeting rooms are set up, to ensuring that students have a valid student ID.
  • You will also be responsible for keeping calendars up to date with any booking requests and assisting in special events and staff meeting room bookings.
  • Being a self-starter, flexible, and eager to bring value is an asset as work with other teams will be required. The position will require that you rotate among Toronto Film School campuses which are in the heart of downtown Toronto.

What you will do:

  • Welcoming students and staff at the front desk and informing staff of any visitors that they may be expecting.
  • Responding to and directing queries from students, staff, and the public, either in person, by telephone, or by email to the appropriate team/ staff member.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that inquiries for room/ studio bookings are processed and logged. As well as responding to and processing requests from faculty and logging the schedule changes.
  • Make sure that the campus is always presentable and operates smoothly. This includes checking for any damages, maintenance/ cleaning requests, up-to-date student/ staff posters, and schedules on campuses.
  • Flexible in aiding other teams on campuses when needed. This includes assisting in special events and staff meetings.
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support, including preparing letters and documents, filing, photocopying, and faxing. Processing student ID card requests.
  • Make sure that all necessary documents are correct and updated, and that any health and safety items on campus are up to date.
  • Will be required to rotate among Toronto Film School campuses.

  • One year’s experience in a receptionist/ administrative or customer service role.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
