Responsibilities:

  • Define and review Enerkem standards in electricity, instrumentation, and control (EIC);
  • Develop and design deliverables (plans, drawings, and diagrams) of electrical equipment, control systems, and process instruments;
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications and the selection of electrical, control, and process instrumentation systems;
  • Contribute to establishing and managing project budgets and schedules;
  • Get involved, review and comment on project cost estimates, while knowing how to be creative in order to optimize costs;
  • Share and implement the objective of delivering factories in modules – understand the impact of modularization for the realization of EIC engineering;
  • Produce preliminary and detailed engineering outsourcing quotes for calls for tenders with consulting engineering firms; clarify, analyze and develop the award recommendation based on the needs of the project;
  •  Ensure technical follow-up of external engineering services related to the realization of projects;
  • Provide technical support during the workshop manufacturing of EIC equipment and plant modules, as well as during construction, including on-site support during commissioning;
  • The desired candidate could also be required to take on the following responsibilities:
  • Follow up on the delivery of deliverables (plans and specifications) for a project,
  • Establish the management of the priorities of the team members involved in a project,
  • Be responsible for quality control of EIC engineering documents,
  • Participate in the assignment of resources and the maintenance of the resource plan;
  • Travel to customers and suppliers to participate in project-related activities.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering,
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ),
  • More than ten (10) years of experience in electrical engineering, instrumentation, and control in an industrial context,
  • Experience in managing plant or construction projects,
  • Experience in process plant modularization is an asset,
  • Experience in the field of refining, petrochemical, and chemical processes is an asset,
  • Knowledge of the Bentley Autoplant Suite is an asset.
