Interview Questions Sr Software Development Engineer for Amazon Vancouver Salary:

1. Can you explain your design process for scaling systems?

Example: “Scaling was a strategy I used in my previous company to improve our digital customer communication offerings. I considered a lot of elements before settling on AWS to plan and manage the processes of continuing client contacts within the system, including the number of databases, message queues, and caching layers. This led to quicker client-service representative contact, which raised our business’s customer retention rates and overall income.”

2. Based on what you know of our company, how do you plan to reach goals with your team?

Example: “I discovered Unlimited Tech Solutions has several client-access portals for an account and technical support services as a result of my study on the company. I am aware that your company provides software solutions to a variety of clientele, but I also recognize the value of efficiency and high output.

I would intend to consolidate the extra client access points into a single portal in order to boost productivity and product delivery times. From there, I would program each account type to reflect the support services offered in order to better target the right clients with the company’s software products.”

3. How have you used continuous integration and delivery to achieve business goals?

Example: “I used continuous integration in my most recent software builds to frequently merge changes to the programming back to the main branch of the design. This made it possible for me to release the final product without needing to incorporate revisions.

This particular software build benefited from continuous delivery as I was able to update and distribute new versions of the product whenever I fixed issues, added new code, or automated redundant procedures. My business was able to consistently satisfy customer demand as a result of these linkages, which increased market share, revenue, and consumer trust.”

4. How do you refactor classes for easier unit testing?

Example: “As a senior engineer, one of my first ideas included refactored classes. The business I was working for at the time relied on a sizable system framework to carry out numerous subtests for different financial calculations and activities.

When I sought to upgrade the software code as the clientele of the company grew, I realized that this design made it difficult to integrate new features. I decreased the technical debt my team maintained while performing unit testing on design updates by restructuring the single class into several classes.”

5. How do you refactor classes for parallel and concurrent processes?

Example: “I used asynchronous processing to handle my organization’s financial databases when refactoring classes on a recent build. I was able to increase the functionality and speed of data retrieval for multiple user apps by implementing parallel and concurrent processing features.

The system’s processing rates were previously hampered by a number of background operations due to the size of the data structure. However, my team was able to use solutions more successfully with concurrent processing when updating system data each accounting month.”
