Senior Civil Engineer – our Aviation team is recruiting for a Senior Civil Design Engineer, ideally with over 5 years of experience in infrastructure civil engineering design, located in Greater London and the Home Counties.

Role Description

You will need to be able to carry out airfield and highways civil engineer design with minimal supervision, with the potential to be seconded to the client organization to take an airfield technical lead role.

You will lead and develop engineering design in accordance with international technical standards and best practices and in coordination with other disciplines.

You will take ownership of delivering projects by producing drawings, reports, and specifications to the expected quality level within the allocated time and budget.

You will do this by working closely and collaboratively with members of the wider Aviation team to provide technical assistance in supporting the planning, design, and management of transportation projects.

  • Carrying out the scoping, management, and execution of site inspections and surveys, as part of a team or independently, to inform the design.
  • Leading teams that carry out civil 3D and computer modeling information,
  • Develop the preparation of bids, engage and develop relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors,
  • Identify and embrace change and promote innovations as key to continuous improvement,

Qualifications & Experience

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent proved experience.
  • Computer literate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is essential.
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience (at least 5 years) working on multidisciplinary infrastructural and airfield projects.
  • Proven experience in airport or pavement engineering with working knowledge of ICAO / EASA / FAA / DIO regulatory standards, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships within the client and stakeholders sphere.
  • Capable communicator (written and verbal) and active team member.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Methodical and structured approach working individually or as part of a team.
