If yes, then this is the right fit for you. Amazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support global program standardization for Worldwide Food Safety (FS) team.

This position will work closely with program, operations, business, and engineering teams to identify

opportunities and build solutions that will help scale FS Operations compliance.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable: deep dive into our existing expansion models
  • Simplify: implement incremental improvements to the existing expansion framework
  • Automate: launch a flexible expansion roadmap that hosts any expansion use cases, with an eye to UX.
  • Leverage existing technology to automate and manage compliance processes;
  • Engage: create a feedback loop mechanism to improve your automation, advocate for adoption, and work as a bridge between program management needs and tech teams
  • Measure: create and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness
  • Expand to support process improvements that can benefit from your automation

The Worldwide Food Safety team provides food safety subject matter expertise for Amazon’s food businesses. Our mission is to build and maintain the trust of our customers by assuring the safety and quality of Amazon’s ingestible products.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, logistics, supply chain, regulatory, risk management, food science, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in the food industry, specifically wrt food safety.
  • Experience in program management or risk management with experience in main project management tools as admin and as a collaborator to tech improvements.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive program improvements, as well as building measures and metrics with automation for reporting use cases.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills combined with the ability to explain complex solutions and to present to business leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role (process development, product design, software development, business process improvement).
  • Ability to define program strategy, delivering independently with limited guidance
  • Lean, Six-Sigma certifications/experience.
  • Tableau & SQL experience.
  • VBA and Python experience.
