QA Process Evaluator

  • With limited direction from management, performs risk-based evaluations of complex operational, regulatory, and safety areas requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Performs inquiries of subject matter experts to gain an understanding of operational processes/controls.
  • Performs assessments of processes, controls, etc. to identify design weaknesses/opportunities.
  • Develops a detailed test plan to evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
  • Communicates results of the evaluation in a meaningful/impactful manner.
  • Analyzes and reviews safety assurance data to proactively identify and dig into emerging areas of risk.
  • Collaborates with management to address safety risks/concerns and to help develop actionable plans.
  • Helps supports external reviews of company operating divisions, including projects such as Department of Defense (DOD) surveys, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
  • Represent the department at divisional SMS Meetings (e.g. WSR, DAG, SRB).

Note: Areas audited may be dependent on the candidate’s experience/certification (e.g. A&P certification will have an M&E process evaluation focus; pilot certification will have a Flight Operations process evaluation focus, etc.)

Senior QA Process Evaluator

  • Demonstrates project management and operational analysis skills by developing and leading risk-based evaluations of complex operational, regulatory, and safety areas requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Collaborates with senior management to develop solutions to complex regulatory compliance, safety, and operational risks and apply professional expertise to influence operational leaders responsible for designing and executing actionable plans to drive continuous improvement and address process concerns.
  • Analyzes and reviews safety assurance data to proactively identify and dig into emerging areas of risk.
  • Subject matter expert in their areas of focus and serves as a reference/resource/mentor for other team members.
  • Helps lead external reviews of company operating divisions, including projects such as Department of Defense (DOD) surveys, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
  • Represents the department at divisional SMS Meetings (e.g. WSR, DAG, SRB, etc.).

Principal QA Process Evaluator

  • Develops a comprehensive risk universe and performs complex risk assessment activities to design an overall process evaluation approach that ensures appropriate coverage of all high-risk areas across multiple divisions.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough inventory/mapping of the control environment for multiple divisions.
  • Demonstrates project management and operational analysis skills by developing and leading risk-based evaluations of complex operational, regulatory, and safety areas requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Collaborates with senior management to develop solutions to complex regulatory compliance, safety, and operational risks and apply professional expertise to influence operational leaders responsible for designing and executing actionable plans to drive continuous improvement and address process concerns.
  • Promotes risk management awareness and operational safety assurance throughout the organization by facilitating the development of tools and techniques that strengthen risk management and internal controls.
  • Analyzes and reviews safety assurance data to proactively identify and dig into emerging areas of risk.
  • Subject matter expert in their areas of focus and serves as a reference/resource/mentor for other team members.
  • Leads/coordinates external reviews of company operating divisions, including projects such as Department of Defense (DOD) surveys, and the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
  • Performs special assignments, consulting engagements, etc. based on risk or at senior management’s request.

  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional curiosity, personal accountability for results, strong credibility with peers/leaders.

  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessing complex operational processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional curiosity, personal accountability for results, strong credibility with peers/leaders.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment on complex projects.

  • Professional auditing certification (e.g. ASQ, IIA, etc.).
